It’s been a while… but I’m BACK! Last night, I attended the 2025 Give Her FlowHERS with Teyana Taylor, Nikki Taylor, Ciara, Kehlani and more! This annual gala created by Heather Lowery, CEO/founder of Femme It Forward celebrates amazing women in the music industry. 2025 theme… “Same Root. New Flower,” celebrating the beauty of evolution.
The gala was held on Friday, Nov. 21 at the Beverly Hilton. And ya’ll… I was not prepared for the traffic and 5 billion dollar renovation/construction at the hotel. LOL, it took me 5 loops around the property to figure it all out. No worries… i’m still excited to see all of the new residences, member clubs, parking deck and more.
I’ve covered many award events with various categories.. but was extremely moved by the Give Her FlowHERS “Queens Raising Queens Award” presented by Teyana Taylor to her mother Nikki Taylor. The award highlights mothers whose love and guidance inspires the next generation of women to rise and lead.
Teyana was in tears as she spoke about their struggles, perseverance and triumphs. It’s so wonderful to see her #winning with her music ESCAPE ROOM, movies, motherhood and LOVE. I was also behind the scenes when Teyana accepted the GHF “Visionary Award” in 2023.

I caught Teyana as she was leaving and asked her for a red carpet photo. She said “Baby.. I don’t have time to stop… but I’ll blow you a kiss as I’m walking.”
